Eisner-nominated and New York Times bestselling author Chelsea Cain is coming back to comics and her new home is Image.

Volume 1 of Cain’s feminist sci-fi series for teens MAN-EATERS arrives in comic book stores on Wednesday, Feb 27 and bookstores on Tuesday, March 5.  An exclusive, signed edition will be available for Independent Bookstore Day on Saturday, April 27.

The series takes readers to a world where a mutation in Toxoplasmosis causes menstruating women to turn into killer wildcats.  They are easily provoked and extremely dangerous. It is up to one 12-year-old girl to save the day before society descends into paranoid chaos.

Cain, perhaps best known for her thrillers featuring serial killer Gretchen Lowell, is joined by artist Kate Niemczyk, colorist Rachelle Rosenberg, and letterer Joe Caramagna.  Stores interested in submitting Independent Bookstore Day orders must do so by Friday, February 1, 2019.
